Temptation

Temptation

A Poem by Amy..... "sing To Me A Spanish Lullaby, And I Will Get Lost In Your Eyes"
"

Shall I allow my heart to think?

"

Knowing my sorrows
would open windows
I can’t see through

My spirit is fragile
guarded by flesh
I no longer claim

Taking my hand
would lead me
into darkness

Temptation is there
to surround my
heart and soul

Evil knocks loudly
As the pounding
Excites my soul

Eyes open
Only to realize
Emptiness beside me

-Temptation-

For me, this piece was a tad confusing. I understand the last portion of the piece, which drives home the point you're trying to make on the ideas of temptation. I can understand how sorrow or sadness can lead people to make wrong choices in order to fill a gap, but I myself wouldn't necessarily call it temptation. Despite that, the point you make is an excellent one: you can't fill emptiness with emptiness.

this one is right on the money...temptation - the rush - is an empty shell. Nicely done.
