Ode to Life's Cycle

Ode to Life's Cycle

A Poem by Amy
"

I wrote an ode poem for poetry class, so I thought I would share it on here.

"
The beginning of life can hold interest
When someone's first born, they are like a bird in a nest
They need to learn things so when they leave, they leave at their best
But before they leave, they need to learn and rest
They also deserve love which should never be a request.

The older someone becomes, the more their personality will shift
Some bonds will stay strong while others will have a rift
Other things will forever be lost and missed
But in the end people should be glad that they exist
And it's not life if people don't persist.

Once a certain age has been hit
It gets harder to do things bit by bit
Some might be in so much pain, that they can only lay and sit
If the pain of aging gets too bad, the person might choose to quit
Once death occurs, to the next life they transmit.

Death can cause quite a situation
It can lead to a person's burial or cremation
If only death could be easily understood like a translation
Which is why that word can be surrounded by a fearful fixation
This is one of the many reasons why life itself is a celebration.

Visit my blog to see other things that I've written. I just created it, so there might not be a lot of posts depending on when you see this. I make a post every Friday and Sunday.

About
I love to write, and I plan to make this my career somehow. I don't show it in front of anyone, but I have a very cliche way of thinking, and it's probably because I always read books. I don't have th.. more..
