Anniversary

I had to write another sonnet for my poetry class, and I decided to write about my parents since their anniversary was a few days ago.

You're caring and nurturing which is good
You are very funny and make me smile
The way you act is the way people should
You help me even when plans are a pile

They're the most generous people I know
You always make sure I'm perfectly fine
I hope my love for you will always show
You always say things that make my day shine

I appreciate you and care for you
I hope my presence makes a bad day great
In my heart is where you'll always be too
Towards you I'll never hold any hate

I hope we will never have to depart
My life you will forever be a part
