Changed

Changed

A Poem by Amy
"

Sometimes change is bad.

"
I miss the old you.
When you were so smart.
I long for the old you.
When you didn't care about money.

I want the old you.
When you acted your age.
I yearn for the old you.
When you didn't care about alcohol.

I hate the new you.
Why are you filled with so much jealousy?
Why are you letting that emotion fill you so carelessly?
I never would have thought you would turn into that too.

I dispise the new you.
Alcohol, that's all you ever want anymore.
You'll drown in it like the sea and you'll be too far out to bring back to shore.
Why do you do what you do?

I loathe the new you.
Why won't you get help for your issues?
All you ever do is complain and wipe your eyes with tissues.
I'm not your mother I can't kiss your boo-boo.

I detest the new you.
Little respect is what you show.
No one said we had to love you you know!
But what do you care into a liar you grew and grew.

Was it him that changed you?
Is he the reason why you are the way you are too?
You can do better I know you can!
All you need to do is take a bloody stand!

Stop throwing yourself away!
I use to look up to you day after day
But now, I can't.
It feels like the old you was mailed away and I can't seem to find the return stamp.

I wish I could tell you how I feel
How badly I want you to be you again
But, that will probably stay a wish forever
Tell the old you that I miss her, Okay?

About
I love to write, and I plan to make this my career somehow. I don't show it in front of anyone, but I have a very cliche way of thinking, and it's probably because I always read books. I don't have th.. more..
