Here Lies My Happiness

Here Lies My Happiness

A Poem by Amy
"

Sometimes you feel sad for so long, that you feel like you have to throw a funeral for you happiness.

"
Here lies my happiness,
She was a bright person,
She treated every day with a smile.
My happiness saw the good in everyone.

She never judged never cried,
She was the definition of perfect,
My happiness viewed the world in her rose-tinted glasses,
Not once had she ever removed them.

When she got bullied or made fun of she had it roll of her shoulders,
My happiness was never insecure.
I hope one day she comes back to visit me,
But until that day comes, I'm here.

Waiting.

Waiting for her to visit me in my dreams.
Waiting for her to tell me it's okay.
Waiting for her to tell me you'll get through this.
And most of all, waiting for her to help me wipe my tears from what hurts me.

Until that day comes, I'm stuck here.
While I'm down here wiping my tears, she's up there viewing heaven in her rose-tinted glasses.
I hope one day I can be like her again.
But until that day comes, I'm here.

Waiting.

This is such a lovely and sad poem... the thing I love most is that you're constantly fluctuating between hope and dismay, it's like trying to smile when you're crying. This is connection on a personal level and I love it.

I love to write, and I plan to make this my career somehow. I don't show it in front of anyone, but I have a very cliche way of thinking, and it's probably because I always read books. I don't have th.. more..
