Goodbye

This poem is about how I've been going through a hard time, and I haven't been happy. Everything has been bottled up inside me, and I overfilled my bottle, so it's all pouring out.

Dry your eyes, 

Please don't say goodbye, 

I miss you so much, 

Without you I feel like I need a crutch. 

I miss the way you made me feel, 

Your absence makes me skip every meal, 

Why did you leave me? 

Your absence has left me sad but free. 

I'm free from the happiness you gave me, 

I just want to say that I'm sorry, 

I'm sorry that I got sad one too many times. 

I'm sorry that I didn't read the signs. 

I wish you could forgive me, 

I wish you could come back to me, 

Without you I'm stuck in the darkness, 

All I'm asking for is forgiveness. 

I miss the way you made me feel, 

Like everything was going to be okay, 

I miss the way you let me smile, 

Now I lay crying on the floor because you left me.
