Chapter 1

Chapter 1

A Chapter by Amy

I put on my favorite article of clothing, black boots that go up to my ankle, blue ripped jeans, and a pure white T-shirt that looks good with anything! Since it's fall I decide to grab my jean jacket and a crimson colored beanie to put on my head, since it matches my hair color. I use to have extremely dark brown hair, but my mom allowed me to color it dark red last year, on my sixteenth birthday.
"Alexandra, are you almost ready?" My mom yelled from downstairs.
"Yea, mom!" I yelled back to her.
"Okay, your dad and I will be waiting in the car."
I grab my phone off my nightstand and start going down the steps, out of the house, and on my way to the car. My parents and I are going to my grandma's house, and I'm so excited! My grandma always gives me the best gifts, and advice of course!
When I get into the car my dad starts to drive. We always had a close relationship. Not as close as my mom's of course, but pretty close.
Whenever I feel down, my dad does whatever it takes to cheer me up. Now don't get me wrong, my mom is pretty amazing too!
When I need some good advice, she is the first person I go to. We always do things together since I'm an only child, and I don't have other siblings to do things with. I remember this one time when I was fifteen, I was sad, because my boyfriend broke up with me, and my mom spent the whole day with me until she could get me to smile and laugh again.
Throughout the car ride, we were making jokes and talking to each other.
"Oh, my gosh, dad! So all because I look like mom and not you, I'm adopted?" I said with tears of laughter in my eyes.
"Now you're getting it, Alex!" My dad said in a facetious manner.
It is true though, I've always looked like my mother. From the dark brown hair, even though it's red now, all the way to how I talk. I look nothing like my dad. He has smooth, xanthous hair with blue eyes, whereas I have thin, dark red hair that goes all the way to my elbows, with green eyes.
After a while of talking about who my real dad is, we finally arrive at my grandmother's house.
When she opened the door she hugged me immediately.
"Oh, Alexandra, you've gotten to be more like your mother every day!" My grandma said in a welcoming tone.
"Thank you, grandma!"
"Oh my, Ben," my dad,"you haven't aged a bit!" said my grandma.
My dad responded by saying,"That's a shocker! Your daughter," my mom,"sure does a great job at giving me white hairs." If you haven't noticed, my dad loves to joke around a lot.
When it was getting late, my parents and I started to say goodbye to my grandma and leave.
After what seemed like a million goodbyes, we finally got in the car and left. We sat there in silence because we were all tired.
We were in the car for a few minutes, when all of a sudden I didn't feel right. I felt like something bad was going to happen.
Before I could get the words out it happened.
The car spun out of control and we were off the road. I was trying to scream, but I couldn't! I couldn't breathe, I couldn't think!
What happened? Did we hit another car? Why do I feel like I've been through this before?
Then suddenly as the car still spun out of control and flipped over, I realized something. I have been through this before.

About
I love to write, and I plan to make this my career somehow. I don't show it in front of anyone, but I have a very cliche way of thinking, and it's probably because I always read books. I don't have th.. more..
