It's Been Too Long

I wrote this after getting back together with my ex.

 

It’s been the longest two months

Since I can remember

 

It’s hard enough to pass the time

when you’re waiting for something to come

 

It’s harder still to get through the day

hoping for something that’s gone

 

I thought I had kissed you for the last time

My body ached for your arms

That would never hold me again

 

Now that you’re back in my life

All the suns have crossed all the horizons

Because I don’t have to miss you anymore

 

So hold me close baby

And kiss me

Again

 

It’s been too long
