Letter to My Love

Letter to My Love

A Poem by Amy

ToMy Love,

I watch on this windy day how quickly the clouds sweep by. And I can’t help but think of you; the knowing that all things come to pass.

There are days when the clouds linger and bask below the Suns warmth; light and airy, radiating a sense of pure love, white with joy. Those same clouds project that same sense upon us.

One evening, some months ago, we danced to an Indian song by Yeha Noha- Wishes of Happiness and Prosperity. On that night I felt just as those clouds might on a sunny calm day; looking from above all the beauty of world. My world stood still in your embrace. For those brief minutes the connection between us grew and nothing else existed except for the depth of love and happiness I felt.

My heart aches with gratitude and sorrow that those clouds have come and gone; such as the impermanence of life, and so it goes, the lack of control over time and space, nature and emotion.

Although that moment is a wisp of the past; that song, that sense of feeling, will forever remain within my memory. It is a vision of the beauty that illuminates between us and the beauty that illuminates within you.

Tomorrow the sun may not shine and the clouds may appear to be a haze of gray. But my optimism is hopeful and sincerity is true that within the temporary time we have together; be it a month, a year, or the remainder of our lives, nothing is taken for granted; your smile, your kindness, your love, and the time you take with me to cherish the clouds.

                                 With Love Always,
