Contemplation

Contemplation

A Poem by Amy

Can you sit quietly at my side?

Breathe in the season’s beauty,

Clarity in mind, peace in heart

No worries for just one moment

Along the rivers bed "

Can you be one with me?

Without a single word

Will you sense my joy and feel my sorrow-

We are all connected, you know.

Can you bear the cool air and mist that rises above the water?

Appreciate the uncomfortable chill

That makes its way up our arms and down our neck-

The sun has set leaving little warmth till morning.

Can we endure the others life suffering?

Can we endure our own?

Negative thoughts that come then pass

Uncertainty, fear, longing, and attachment-

Abiding support, love and gratitude.

Or, will I forever be alone along the cold river bed?

Everyone has so many questions, yet we never have them all answered. This is a very beautiful piece, with it's imagery and questioning. I adored reading it. Thank you so much for sharing.
