The Bubble

The Bubble

A Poem by Amrita Sharma Pokharel

You

The ‘bubble’

The lathered world…

a sphere of an Illusion!

Flimsy,Fragile,

is your character

Vibrant, yours temperament,
Puffed up
Nothing in this world

can limit your steps

You go Dancing and

Stirring the happiness,
Force us for lofty dream
by yours appealing
bright fantasy world
We run behind you
To craft our fate
But

Alas
we are left

with

An unfilled bliss

You were just an imaginary -

A silk world...
Touch and
Ruptures in no second
with no reminiscence

For a keepsake
 the bubble vanishes …

Ach, maybe poems are like the bubble you describe also. We inflate them, capture others' interest and then ... pop ... we are gone. Ach, we are fraudsters. But having said that said others dooooo love to chase the bubbles we inflate. Being a poet is maybe a cynical business. But then if that business brings momentary happiness, or even the illusion of happiness are we really so bad?

Bubble is transient.
So is human life.
Hence bubble is human!

This poem is filled with imagination and creativity. I love the artwork you found to go with this piece. It seems like the woman is the creator of life and she is blowing bubbles creating new adventures. You poem goes well with it and sometimes it seems as if fate is not on our side.

A whimsical write that I really enjoyed! You really captured the frailties of life in a fun way with pretty bubbly imagery.
