Of the sun-rays...

Of the sun-rays...

A Poem by Amrita Sharma Pokharel

These sun-rays,
Alike…
As it used to be before...

Sometime it rises up
And at next
It dims,
At her shimmering face...
When it rises up,
She glowed, her golden radiance…
That mesmerizes me…
Every time

So serene and rustic beauty...
To these rays…
That adorned her beauty…
I bow

But,
The same lustrous splendor,
I found,
In her funeral bed!

With the same sun-rays
Transitory towards her face
But this time she was at rest!

To fight with the rays of sun,
That enhances her charisma
She was burning in the flame of her death couch…

i like the transition of sun from life to death and the message that though a life may change the sun still rises and sets
