Chapter Three

Chapter Three

A Chapter by AmorRB

Alexander was beyond shocked. He was basically paralysed. His body was stiff, eyes wide, and his hands firmly gripped the kitchen counter. So firm that his knuckles were spectre-pale.

Beatrice was so close. Her arms twined around his nape and body pressed against his chest. Her hands were running through his dark hair as her lips sealed his, gently, but with a hint of passion.

Beatrice was kissing him.

Alex didn't kiss her back. He wasn't sure if he was supposed to. He didn't know what this meant. Except that Beatrice Parker had stolen his first kiss.

Beatrice Parker was his first kiss.

The bad girl leaned in to whisper in his ears, "You're supposed to kiss me back, ya know?" she said with her signature smirk.

Alexander was too stunned to react. He was still frozen. Blood rushed to his face as he realized what she said. Beat planted a small kiss on his right cheek.

She ruffled his already messed up hair and walked back to the couch, "I'm seriously hungry now, Nutty." She plopped down on the couch and turned her attention back to the television as if nothing had happened.

A couple of seconds later, Alex shook his head and turned around - back to his pasta.

He placed two plates of pasta on the table in front of Beatrice and sat himself on the love-seat. "Oh that smells amazing!" Beat grabbed her plate. "Are you okay, there?"

"Uh. . Yeah."

"First kiss?"

Slowly, Alex nodded causing the smirk on Beat's face grow wider.

She continued to devour the food without a single word. Every now and then she would look up and watch the blue eyed boy sitting in front of her.

He had his head down, concentrating on his plate of pasta, tossing and turning his food with the fork. Beatrice smiled at the sight.

His hair was messed up, probably her doing though it was pretty messy almost all the time. He had ditched his grey hoodie, one that she had seen him wearing during school. One which engulfed him like a cucoon. He was now wearing a white tee with short sleeves.

There was a small frown on his face, "You'll grow old if you don't smile more," Beatrice said.

No reply.

"Alex?" she said, placing her plate down and turning towards him. Her eyes held the tiniest bit of guilt towards the boy.

Don't feel guilty, Beat. It's alright, she reminded herself.

"Alex would you look at me?"

Alex lifted his face just for a fraction of second and heaved a frustrated sigh.

"What is her name?" asked Beat.

"What?" questioned a confused Alexander.

"Normally a guy wouldn't be so upset over his first kiss unless he had a particular girl in mind, who he wanted to share it with," she explained.

"I - I'm not upset," he looked right in her eyes. "Just curious."

"About?"

"You," he rubbed his face with both his hands. "Why are you doing this, Beatrice? What do you want from me?"

Beat looked away. Her gaze fell on her toes and she stared at her feet for one good minute before answering.

"I want you. I am in love with you, Alexander Hayes," she said, lifting her head to look him straight in the eyes.

Beat's confession hit Alex like a big wave. A big wave of shock. Of confusion. Of a number of questions. What? Why? How?

Before he could frame any coherent question to ask her, Beat burst into a hysterics of laughter.

"W-wha..?"

She clutched her stomach as she laughed harder. "Oh, Nutty," she said between her laughs. "You should have seen your face! Oh, I wish I had taken a picture. It was a joke! I was kidding."

She continued to laugh which only seemed to add fuel to Alexander's anger.

He got up from the chair and stood in front of Beat. "I dunno what is it that you want from me, Beat. But it'd be best if you left, right now," he gritted through his teeth, gathering himself. "I'll go to Mr.Grande tomorrow and ask for him to change my partner," he said with a firm voice.

Beatrice got up as well, "Don't try the impossible, Hayes. You aren't getting rid of me anytime soon." She slid into her leather boots, zipping them up before, "Seeya tomorrow, Partner," she smirked.

Alex wanted to pull his hair out! He was angry. Confused, frustrated and upset. Yes, he was upset because yes, he wanted to share his first kiss with a particular girl.

And she wasn't Beatrice Parker. She was the kindest, the clumsiest, the most beautiful brunette he had ever met. She was his best friend's twin sister.

Alex heard the rumble of the motobike a few minutes after Beat left his house. And the motorbike roared to life before growing weaker and weaker as she drove away.

"Oh, Beat. Beat, Beat, Beat," Cain sang as he followed Beatrice into the hallway, followed by his friends. Beatrice grunted in an unlady-like manner, "Don't start again, Chambers."

"Or what? You will complain about me to your best friend?" he mocked.

Everybody at school knew that Cain and Raymond were not what you call, the best of friends. The former was a douchebag, the latter was a douchebag with class.

They were two similar poles. At two extreme ends .

"No, of course not," Beat turned around, flipping her hair in the process and glared at the school's renowned bad boy. "I would kick you where the sun doesn't shine and personally drop you off at your own funeral, sweet heart."

Cain's hand flew to his chest, "She called me sweet heart. Did someone get it on tape?" He burst out laughing, "Oh, and kitten, don't hold yourself back," said Cain Chambers, smirking at her.

"Call me kitten one more time and I'll rip you apart, loser," she snarled just as he grabbed her by her arm.

"Kitten," he purred into her ears in his throaty voice.

Anger flared across Beatrice's eyes. She stomp his feet with the heel of her black silettoes, hard, and pulled her arm free from his grip. "Don't you dare, Chambers. Don't. You. Dare."

She kneed him in his groin, making the bad boy whimper before she turned to leave.

"You will be mine, Parker," Cain called out from behind. "One day, you will be mine."

Beatrice laughed.

A cold laugh.

The students around them knew this couldn't be good. When the Bad Boy collides, or in this case hits on, the Bad Girl, the result is always a storm.

She faced the blonde boy, clad in clothes of dark shades similar to her's, "Not even in your dreams, Chambers. You can never make me yours."

Alex watched the whole Bad boy - Bad girl drama standing in the crowd. He knew Beatrice was something else.

And she was definitely not something you would want to mess with.

He watched her as she left the hallway, after gracefully insulting and smashing Cain's reputation in front of the entire school. He watched as Cain's eyes turned black. Anger boiling in them, jaws taut and fists clenched.

"What are you all watching?! Show's over. Don't you have classes and f**k to be at?" Cain growled at the crowed, that shuffled to get to classes, immediately.

The bell rang.

"Damn," Alex cursed under his breath and hurried to his next class.
