Taking Out Trash

Taking Out Trash

A Poem by Angel Alli

I heard you calling the other day,

chasing me down the street.

I also got your seven missed calls.

Four voicemails, unheard.

You want to say sorry.

The damage is unfixable,

You've screwed up far too many times.

I'll take your apology.

Throw it out the window into the dumpster.

That's what I do with trash.

I take it out.
