Blue and White Vase

Blue and White Vase

A Poem by Angel Alli

Little flowers clung to the curves

of a blue and white vase.

A memory of an antique store.

A memory of you and me.

Walking among dirty isles

and forgotten things,

we found this vase-

a gem amongst the rubble

You whispered 'just like you'.

Our love became official.

Sealed with someone's old memory.

But that was long ago,

and you have gone away.

Now the flowers are falling

and the vase is crashing

in a billion tiny pieces.

Reminding me even beautiful things

can fall apart so easily.

You are the vase...A painful but truthful way of viewing a past relationship. After the relationship is over we still have the memories...even if in shattered pieces
