Beyond the WoodsA Poem by Angel AlliWe walked into the woods on a warm August morning, your hand in mine. We lived among the weeds, and ragged thorns. Moved with the stream. Let the winds rule our hearts. The rigid March air came in quickly. Amongst the bristle, your fingers slipped away. I was left within the trees. Lost. Alone. Afraid. Beyond the woods, where Heaven meets the Earth, I will meet you there. We will grasp each other once again and journey on together. © 2015 Angel AlliAuthor's Note
