Welcomed Are the Blue Skies

Welcomed Are the Blue Skies

A Poem by AmongSavages

A poem simply focused on... depression, emotions, and mixed feelings

"

Welcomed Are the Blue Skies

Sunlight shining in clear eyes

And it feels like all is right

Welcomed are the blue skies

Time elapses

Gray clouds begin to taint the blue

All the radiance has gone

The world is dark once more

Storm clouds and rainbows

Flash across empty eyes

Sunshine and dark skies

A troubled mind

The sun has stopped working

It’s always pouring

The sun has stopped working

Mornings are no different than nights

It’s always dark

Inside

Sunshine in empty eyes

Dark skies in a troubled mind

Welcomed are the blue skies

Not bad. Some of your imagery is a little simple and this is, obviously, a very done topic, but you do manage to keep the reader's attention. I think there are a few places in the piece which could easily be cut to streamline things, but this is still a good first effort.
