The light in me,

He couldn’t see.

And that made all the difference.

 

His eyes met mine,

They didn’t shine.

And that made all the difference.

 

Our lips, they touched,

His cheeks didn’t flush.

And that made all the difference.

 

My heart in his hands,

He gave it back.

And that made all the difference.
