Words I Could've SaidA Poem by AmongSavagesShoulda Woulda CouldaWords I Could’ve Said I look at you And I lose my voice. But when I think of you later, The words I wanted to say Burst through the floodgates And fill my mind. I steel myself And prepare to tell you How I truly feel. But when I look into your eyes, The flood becomes a trickle And it suddenly stops. I freeze at first, And then I smile, Cursing myself on the inside. But you’ll never find out, Because I’ll hold it all in, And I’ll never let it show. © 2013 AmongSavages |
