YOLOA Poem by Ammy GreavesWhen does life begin? Forty, the time keepers say, Birth, the doctors say, When I leave home, the teens scream, When I become an astronaut or a princess the children dream But life begins when you live it, When you feel it, Take hold, Let your heart be told. Stop stopping at red lights Take chances like a chicks first flight Scream at the top for your voice to be heard, In our lifeless, dreary world. Where people have stopped living Stopped caring They are no longer driven they take backseat passes and stay hidden, Princess, now a waiter Astronaut fishing now a time gazer Wondering where the meaning of life has gone Far. towards infinity and beyond Where have our passionate people died off to, Believe in doing what they love no matter what sacrifices they go through, Go against the crowd and be there own man, People who care not, if others don't understand Their goal in life is to do what they love and stay true to themselves If it means going through hell. 'Cause in the end they have the real victory, They were not afraid to be in their thoughts lonely O, God where have the dreamers gone Have they lived and passed on? O, come back meaning of life Teach us to be more than child husband and wife More to life than that colour green More than its texture hue and sheen Teach us, teach us to dream again Like Santa Clause and the Tooth Fairy did. We're buckled up, snuggled warm in the backseat But yet, still unhappy Because we want to be in front the wheel Taking life head on over head heels Unbuckle I say, get out the baby seat Take the wheel, one hand, full speed start living life free As once said: Everybody dies but not everybody lives I don't know about you but i want to be one who's breath means SOMETHING...
