Killer Unsaid Words

Killer Unsaid Words

A Poem by Ammietia
"

About not being able to say what you really want to say. Being silenced.

"

She walks through the halls
dull eyes don't register a thing.
She's dead, her elegy all but sung,
the casket, all but lowered.

All the words she didn't say
All the words she couldn't say
stuck in her throat,
waiting for their day,
But it never came.

And so that's the way she died,
with too many unsaid words clogging up her throat.

They'll never know;
where those unseeing eyes came from.

They'll never know;
that they were the cause of it all.

And they'll never know;
the cold dark place she hides her face.

Because they never cared
for the sad words she longed to say.
