Ravaged Land

Ravaged Land

A Poem by Ammietia
"

A mix of my feelings between my parents and some of my (so-called) friends, making my world unlivable.

"

I really must wonder

I mean really, really wonder

where you expect me to go.

My words are forbidden

My heart is even hidden

My eyes tell nothing anymore

You've trapped me with your lies

the truth cannot contend

So I wonder,

will my wings ever fly free?

The air is full of your poison

The ground holds the vines of your hate

The water has turned rancid with your jealousy

The causes of my pain

Home is a hollow word

Hell is the reality without any dreams

Hurt is what fills the days

My feelings burn you

And my face causes sour reminders

Because of the mistakes

you cannot deny

I'm hated by you

and those your smog has polluted

for no more

than just living

Poison has spread

Words have done their damage

Anger has ravaged the land

And now?

I really must wonder,

I mean really, really wonder

Where you expect me to go.

Author's Note

Ammietia
Something quick to get my mind off of things. I didn't think I could do it story like, so I think I made it prose? First real attempt at prose though.

Prose is fun. Free. Cool one. It's interesting that you have anger, and poise, yet you are so defeated. One can tell you're not the kind to fall, but you've allowed yourself to be trapped. Interesting.
