Broken HeartA Poem by Amitesh Rout
The early sun brought the warmth
My days were running bright A new dawn filled my heart with loads of hope and love But the summer didn't last long Clouds of darkness engulfed my sun The winter approached too soon The poor tender life was caught helpless and all that was left behind Were pieces of a broken heart Like the falling petals from a once ravishing rose my heart bleed with pain of those dreams of love that once carried me to heaven were now abducted midway for a long journey to hell I stood all alone I didn't know where May be in the Kingdom of Satan Or absolutely in the middle of nowhere. The slanderers misguided me And I had no star to follow anymore I tried moving towards the gates of doom carrying the burden; the pieces Of my bloody broken heart. The corners suited me now without all the memoirs of goodness standing like a withered hollow tree bearing the cold dark winter And beneath lay near my feet Pieces of my Broken Heart. © 2014 Amitesh Rout |
