ChildhoodA Poem by Amitesh RoutThe days are gone
when I used to live the life of my own Its been so long but I still long for my mother's goodnight songs Sometimes I do have glimpses of my past my father helping me walk I remember, I remember the scolding of my teacher and yet the way they adore The jokes in between classes the sharing of the lunch and the wait for the cinema passes The fun with my friends and ringing of the bell all my memorable school days Now as I have grown I feel so lost missing those days of fun Today Its like life without food the only thing I crave for now is my glorious childhood. © 2013 Amitesh RoutAuthor's Note
