Scarred like this face,

Burnt like this match,

Scrambled like this channel,

Hollow like this breath,

Deep like this book,

Real like this life,

Perfect like this leaf,

Flawed just like me,

You are amazing.

awww, i just about shed a tear while reading this!!! For some reason it was just what i needed to lift my mood. This is excellent! So comprehensible and simple, and powerful!

although, i don't think "amazing' is a great choice of words, (not that i know anything about the person you're writing for) but i feel it sounds a little empty, too broad. I think since the whole poem is filled with broad similies, that are so open to interpretation, you should conclude with something more specific. just a thought.

Truly, the poem is immaculate. I love it!
