Alone

Alone

A Poem by Amias Davies

All in one box filled with locks,
Trapped, nowhere to adapt,
No one talks, not even rocks,
All because life snapped and wrapped,
Confusion grows but none talks,
No one was snapped when they napped,
They ignore a broken leg trying to walk,
With no goal, no map, just trying to fill a hole,
The abyss will always stalk,
And you can never survive with one soul.

A person becomes nothing,
Everyone thinks they’re bluffing,
They can’t even hear the huffing,
And the person keeps scuffing,
But no one gives them the loving,
They taste life without the stuffing,
But you have the ingredients,
No need to be a genius,
There’s no need for experience,
Their abyss is sleepless,
And you cry about your weakness,
They’ve never touched the sweetness.

A dream might seem easy with no scheme,
No plan no team, just a theme,
But being alone and trying to be known,
Is like a blind man trying to see what everyone can,
But one with no eye can never fly,
Just like one with no why can never get high,
Everyone is in need for something,
And we can become that something,
And turn them from nothing to something,
All because they need that one thing?
No because like us they are something.
