This Girl

This Girl

A Poem by AJadeLion
"

She drives me crazy. God I love her. Here we go again

"
This girl
This damn girl
Playing with my heart
Surprisingly gentle
She proposes
Before we even have a first date
Still teenagers
Just turns and says without ceremony
"Will you marry me?"
Of course she's joking
Of course
Still I say yes
No ring
No promises
Still I linger a little longer
To picture myself in a white gown
To stare at towering cakes
Fast forward two or so years
Still can't tell exactly what we are
Starting to give up
That we might be real
Till today
When she turns
Just like that first day
And says just as plain and simple
"Let's go to Hawaii"
Run away right now
The two of us
A couple of plane tickets
A single hotel room
One bed
It's insane
We're adults now
But still teenagers
We've only known this town
Still I indulge her
Do a little searching
Find some flights and some hotels
And I realize
That she's pulling me right back in

Still can't right endings. Dealing with tenses is always fun and it may be all messed up. I hope it makes some sense.
