Nostalgia

Nostalgia

A Poem by Amelia

At times I remember your hazel eyes,

Nothing timelessly clear I’d seen.

Yet your scent is no fresh,

That I could still feel you watching me,

Hairs like leaves in a fall,

Indelible smile like sunshine,

Nothing so precious I have ever found,

Ghastly, nothing so eminent I had lost.

For the last time, let me be there,

Obsessed with you where I’d lie,

Right with you in the world we made.

You left me for your happiness,

Obnoxiously, it was not me,

Unwillingly I smiled at my tears.

Perhaps I would have won,

Embracing something which never belonged to me.

And life still passes,

Remembering every memory with you,

Leaves me in the world we created,

Ejected to present, reality pushes me,

Yielding to you, I survive....
