VerveA Poem by AmeliaJust the dilemma of thoughts, sometimes when we also don't know what we want, think or do.Time flies and washes away memories, Like the blossom of spring noon, Or the fire of autumn leaves, Or the art of spring, Or the flakes, melting on face. But the expression remains, Giving a smile to numb lips, Making hope carry away the tears, Breathing expectations in disappointments, And making us believe in faith. Like the lake reflecting love, Faith is beautiful as it could be, But a few ripples could take away the serenity, And gets reflected on the reflection, Some waves may pour out the water, Or others might be absorbed by trust. Stuck in life, we stay bound, Wishing and dreaming to make it better, But they burn at some corner of mind, Just like many words unsaid, We die without any life. Everyone is born, but not everyone lives, And they exist in the fainted past, Or color the future with imaginations, For they miss what’s important, And soon it fades as a memory. Pain may surround us like webs, And we squeeze ourselves inside the cage, But we forget the power that lies within us, So breathe in air of hope, Take the leap on chance. For life is too short for regrets, And enough to strive for perfection. Some ripples may not move the water, And some memories may teach us to struggle. And one day we might die with the satisfaction, That we lived! © 2011 Amelia |
