The Essence of SolitudeA Poem by Ameliawrote some time back....drowned in memories....I recall the
fragrance of mom’s lap, When I used to
peek out of it, And looked at the
shinny sky. When I used to
play in evening, When I used to
hide in dark, When I used to
scare somebody in the night. When I used to
enjoy under the sky. And when I
concealed myself in the dark, And tears would
flow down the cheeks, Until I disclosed
the pain, Confined inside
the seal of my heart. Staring at the
black sky, The essence of
past covers me. And I recall all
those days, I spent staring at
the understanding sky. Gazing at the
black sky, Decorated with
jewels and pearls, I recollect those
nights of tears, And smiles I
spent indemnified by the heavens. Ask the sky- it
saw me, In autumns and
springs, Ask my friend
about me, And it will count
the days of solitude I spend. © 2011 AmeliaReviews
