A Poem by Amelia Rose

My heart has been broken for many a year though not obvious to the plain eye or ear

And I never let anyone else feel so I am left on my own to heal

My childhood life was taken away my mind taken forward many a day

Forced to be there for all no one even thought what might happen if I would fall

Time passes and my word breaks once more when my mom walked through the door

And tells me that my dad will soon be gone in fact by the break of dawn

And now alone here I sit and know that I still won't quit
