Lyceum of LuxuryA Poem by Amduscia
As a Falconer's apparatus for recalling Hawks, such is the Lure used to Entice the Enticing quality of a Pursuit, this I recall with Lure.
Kept out of Sight, hidden amidst that which exists unobserved. I have a lurking Sympathy for the Richly sweet in taste and smell, as such a style touches upon the over-rich in sound imagery, though even so, still voluptuously attractive. Luxuriant and succulent are lush Lusts of lascivious passions, which pursue the passionate enjoyment of Divine Desires. The Lust of Battle, for Power, unto My Own, is a sensuous appetite regarded as Sinful, but how strong and excessive are such Lusts of the Flesh, truly? The Lustre of the Glossy Gifts of God, shining upon the brilliant surfaces of all things Splendid, enhancing the Glory of Heavens Chandelier upon Earth. The Prismatic glass pendants of Gods chandelier, and the iridescent glaze as on Porcelain, illumines the profuse, exuberance of growth. Florid, I revel to feel such keen delight, and abandon Myself to the Enjoyment of such ease, being fond of such contributions to Luxury. As a Lynx of Luxury, descending from the wooded ashes and lush grass, dressed in choice, costly spotted fur, I fix My God-given, proverbially keen sight, upon the Lyre of Gods Lyceum of Eternal Salvation, seeking the touch of the Sovereign Keys in His hand upon the doors of My heart and Soul. © 2014 Amduscia |
