Because the moon is not a star...A Poem by AmbikaReach the moon
Lying on the cold dewy grass;
My hands wide open for the darkness to consume me. Glancing at the display of stars. Ah stars! My younger self had assumed them to be lollies. Growing up my science teacher burned my lollies for the sake of grades. The sky is full of stars, not lollies! Stars are far far away and burns you. Such is desire. Desire of goodness and beauty. Stars are hope in the infinite darkness. Stars are like the ones trying their hardest to survive, twinkling. The moon, glows in its own glory. The biggest, the brightest in the blackness. Get up. Get the ladder and reach the moon. Stumble, fall, break your bones but keep moving till you have it all. Because we are all under the same starry sky. © 2017 AmbikaAuthor's Note
