Feel

Feel

A Poem by papermush08
"

Don't be afraid to feel

"
I don't know where you've been
For your heart to be void and sullen
And claim your loneliness
To be a permanent solace

If ever you fear the disease
Of feeling the bite of a wild beast
Please don't detest the chance
To even hold what might only come once

You always have the choice:
Elude to silence or acknowledge the voice
That you ought to sing with
Despite the risk to bleed

There may be no windows to see;
Love, love is the only key
I hope you won't refuse to hear
The door that opens from here

I love the third stanza:

"You always have the choice:
Elude to silence or acknowledge the voice
That you ought to sing with
Despite the risk to bleed"

Beautiful poem and nicely written. :)

Though I suggest you change the word used on the phrase "hear the door" because by concept I think doors wouldn't naturally make a sound.

All the same, I like the meaning behind this poem.
