The Night in My HeartA Poem by papermush08I was attuned to the sound of the ocean tonight clashing with the stormy wind [when this is actually what I felt/feel]
Cold feet not toppling on their spot
Body's a stone, leashed by an unseen knot I held the company of the night To console a heart's plea that's long trite The yonder skies I tried to conceal If hope of destined time is real It's frightening, it is frightening! It's the risk of a feeling My fear echoes through the waves' anger There's a clamant wind to lash harder When the calm in the clouds returns the door Maybe I could walk back to the shore © 2014 papermush08 |
