Ghostly Flight

Ghostly Flight

A Poem by papermush08
"

silence speaks better

"
My paperweight soul
Cradled by the ashes of my bones
Restlessly numbing the ache
Quietly wailing beneath
No sound dares to give in
I dread the turmoil of this voice
The world might take and despise
So before I meet my slumber
I'll leave my heart on the window sill
For the wind to snatch and carry
It knows where it goes

A fairly done job, stream of consciousness is good, this free verse has a nice concept that flies into the sky with the waves of air, a true feeling and insight is well captured and exposed, I liked and enjoyed the read; it is brief but truly emotive as reflected well.
