Moon Hush

Moon Hush

A Poem by papermush08
"

I see it every night

"
Nothing is as beautiful
--for a sentimental fool--
as a taciturn night,
with a golden spotlight
Plastered in the sky,
not leaving me high and dry
Undisturbed, grand but alone
like my heart in this sad tune,
which I repeat and restore,
rhythmically shaking my core
Then I began to whimper,
by these invisible tears
no one could ever decipher
Since I refuse to give anyone a key
I dread that they may see
So I send it to the moon;
a whisper that may reach you soon:
"Loneliness is lovely
when you're the kind of lonely"

I agree with the wisdom of the words.
"Nothing is as beautiful
--for a sentimental fool--
as a taciturn night,
with a golden spotlight
Plastered in the sky,"
I like the flow of thoughts and the ending. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.
