FarsightedA Poem by papermush08Prose poem for a moment: someday I'll get there.Grace and glory are theirs to relish, frisky dizziness and rhythmic turmoil they exalt While I'm unfortunately isolated, creating my world with nothing but dim hope As days and days it's a step closer to either a chance or assumed moment Of my lifelong plea to gratify my sentiments and feed my soul that's longing For the turning point when I can own the peak of happiness, high and relentless And I'll hug myself, kiss the universe to offer a gratitude so sweet and gigantic From the roots of my core, crawling up to the smile flickering in my face But the sound is too muffled, fading in the scene like pretty bubbles that popped Because there's a lingering space in between, a barricade I cannot destruct For my fate only knows plight, I can never take a flight, I'm an expectant fool Counting stones on the ground of the possibilities to pick me up And carry me off to that hidden silver lining, somewhere behind the grey clouds Yet here is my depressed sky which hardly paints even a little peek of light It's just a plain perspective onward, unidentified and tapering 'til it's gone Losing in the view to drift into where it belongs, a mass not for my presence I'll be left all the time, weighing my dreams on the hands of the clock and wonder If I can ever take this road when it's often hazy, my eyes don't get so sunny
