One Step Backward

One Step Backward

A Poem by papermush08
"

There are casual moments when you're stolen by a memory. Better to smile.

"
Sentiments, sentiments my friendly sentiments

Hide nowhere, come find my pieces

I am not lost, still bound with wishes

Not for the same hope, all did change

Waiting let forever fly, I'm free on my own

Some places remain, yet I'm quite not alone

Timid my fate was, I soar with better wings

Wishful stories on stones had gone lame

But pain in my dread I did tame

Hello memory, I'm back with diamonds

They descend in hollows, I touched dear victory

Tomorrow's in haze, resilient heart's the guarantee

Take me away for once in awhile

I wallow and drift, just too stoic to yearn

Absorb my silence, I take time to learn
