Roots.

Roots.

A Poem by Amber V. Black

I have always been

 a tsunami of emotion

 & no one

has ever loved me as much as I needed.

Maybe it was because I always got too attached.

Maybe it was because I rely on others

 to give me worth.

 I have never been close

to mentally stable,

and the boys I have always

                chased have

never helped me,

they only hurt.

I do not hold down houses,

I destroy them.

In my thoughtful quest to be loved,

I will treat you so much

better

than anyone deserves to be treated,

&  shutter away when you ask to return the favor.
