Smoke in the mirrorA Poem by Amber V. BlackTime stops for no one, They tell me. I tell them, Take a look inside that hourglass And time will stand alone. Each grain of sand, A story, A memory. Take a look inside that glass, You see the time we danced at the party, Masquerade masks, my crimson dress. You see the first day I met you, How much we hated each other. You see us together, When the world could not touch us. You see us now, miserable and apart. The glass has shattered. Take a look at that broken glass, We can try to fix it. But it can never go back the same way it was before Consider this small dust, here in the glass. © 2013 Amber V. BlackReviews
