Excerpt

This is just a small piece of a book I've been working on for a while.

“Jenna.” A sickly voice called to me from a demon with fangs and sharp claws. I tried running, but my legs were frozen to the earth. The demon got closer, louder. “Jenna!” It screeched in my ears as I tried to get free. The smell of its flesh poked at my nostrils. Slashing its claws at my back, my shirt tore off, leaving me naked and bleeding. Opening my mouth to scream, nothing came out. The demons’ fangs pierced my neck, drawing more blood from my already withering body, making me queasy. A masked face lit up in the sky, someone I have never seen before. His voice howled my name over and over again. The demon dug his claws into my calves as I begged to be spared. The masked face flew down from the sky in my direction, its mouth gaped wide. It was just about to pass right through me…
