NOT FINISHED!A Story by Amber HardyHe sits there on the marron couch he received as a gift from his family's best friend for his wedding gift of his and his wife that had just left him tipping the bottle of Jim Bean back into his throat. The whiskey burning as it runs down his throat into his stomach. He sits up still trying to drink more, but there is none left. It's been like this since Carolyn left him. He tastes the distilled taste of ciggarettes on the roof of his mouth, and remembers he must go to the store to get more, but he shouldn't be driving drunk again. Another DUI and farewell license. © 2009 Amber Hardy |
