I am speechless. The way you put this together was very surreal. I love poems that send out a great message and this one has it. Many, many girls and women out there can relate to this.
"People say,
You’re beautiful just the way you are,
But they forget to tell us that the world is full of Photoshop,
And airbrushed models,
Who pose for a reflective tool,
That makes millions of girls look in their reflective glass and ask,
Am I truly beautiful?
Or am I not good enough?"
This is my favorite part in the poem. Yes, nowadays, it is all about artificial beauty. At times, girls feel like they need to be artificial to be beautiful. Whatever happened to the natural world?
"Beauty is in the eye of the beholder." Different people have different ideas of beauty.
Great job, Amazonia.

I really appreciate that you took the time and energy to give feedback. I write from my heart, and it is one of the worst thing to see young girls grow in a society where they always have to compare themselves to others. It saddens me to see girls do whatever it takes to reach that sort of "perfection". Thank-you again. This means so much, when I receive feedback, because it allows me to create pieces that can change a person's life or perspective.

A love for haiku poetry developed during world literature studies, inspired by its power to express deep ideas in just a few syllables. The book Blue Harlequin features many of these moments, celebrating the simple beauty of life. beautiful lines: "When I compare myself to the average magazine cover, their
Porcelain even faces,
High cheekbones,
Desired bodies,
But that’s what my reflecting glass shouts out at me".
More people should view this. Break that reflective glass, and start seeing beauty in themselves. Love it.
I love this poem so much, I can relate to it and I deal with a lot of self esteem issues likes the majority of girls and guys! This is truly a work of perfection and it has a great message, it flows very well
Great write!
An unattainable look has been pedaled as real life. Even the people in the pictures don't look like that and yet...that seems to be the standard. This is a timely poem and one that has serious social merit. So much doubt that creates so much damage all in the name of this false brand of beauty.

I love to write even though I face writer's block, and can become grammatically challenged at times. I absolutely adore animals of all shapes and sizes, and love to hear feedback to improve my writing.. more..
