Writer's Block Journey

Writer's Block Journey

A Poem by Amazonia_08

Much to say when there's a block on one's mind,

to dig a little deeper is making words even harder to find,

Those little letters that leave impressions on a reader,

That can even lead to great speeches by a future leader,

but if one has writer's block,

How does one get a war hawk,

to rhyme with a baby's talk,

or a table talk,

on a yellow dock,

around the clock?

Sometimes when there is a blockage of mini unimpressionable ideas,

can lead on to writing in small pizzeria's,

Red's and blue's and a multitude of colors,

can lead to a new fashion of turtleneck collars,

I could continue to ramble on and on,

but that could conclude a continued amounts of yawns,

so here I end my writer block journey,

and save my breath for when I finally become an attorney.

A love for haiku poetry began in college, inspired by its simplicity and depth. The book Blue Harlequin captures these moments beautifully. Read the full article to explore the essence of haiku poetry: https://aoidemagazine.com/what-is-haiku-poetry/

I like the casual tone of the poem and how it uses it's simplicity to really convey a rambling mind, writers block feel to it. Nicely done!
