A JourneyA Poem by Amaunetfeelin a bit odd today, this is the resultWithin the darkness it does wait, waiting to devour it's hunger to sate. Lightly we tread forward, trying to not be a coward. Every step a year it seems, in the distance light gleams. Forgiveness and mercy we seek, climbing this mount to it's peak. A journey to complete, the past not to repeat. But ever the darkness lingers near, insidious whispers inciting fear. The task in life is not to run, to stand tall and overcome. Pain is its weapon, our minds its home. Fate is but a question, this life but a loan. What is this thing, our own being. © 2010 AmaunetAuthor's Note
