promiseA Poem by Amata LunaPROMISE
You promised not to hurt me Well you just did I thought you were different You’re worst than them instead
I should have kept me guarded Should have kept my cool I should have kept my mouth shut How did I ever come to be a fool?
Now my tears have fallen Tears as leaden as stones Remember that a woman’s heartache Is worth a man’s million years to grow
