A Poem by Amata Luna
"

It's when you smile that I cry...

"

You may never understand the pain every time I see

Never will you understand why tears roll down on my cheeks

You will never know how hard it is to just look and peek

Never will you know why I’ve been there and here

I thought we share the same things, I know we really do

In fact it’s more than nothings, it’s everything in you

You thought you’ve been good hiding, you thought I cannot see?

Oh boy you just don’t know, how much I know to be

You look like an innocent man, clothed and naïve and strong

Underneath you are so cunning, so naked and knowing and shrewd

You really think I didn’t know when we have shared the same lifetime?

You think I didn’t know when you have always been a part of mine?

Now you think I have been naïve, you think I haven’t seen?

Well I saw it all and I knew, with all my tears like streams

When I looked up on the heavens I saw the stars and thought again

You are my half and I don’t know you, you smile at me and yet not stay

You stay as silent ever as a bloom, you rage on us within your gloom

You speak not like the man I knew, you seemed a beast a storm did brew

Beyond these things we share one blood, Lived in one womb and cry like flood

In time you’ll know the pain that keeps, the pain that keeps and that which stays

Then maybe you’ll understand why I have to cry every time I see you smile…

This is a poem I wrote for five minutes [I think]. I don't know if you'll understand it but I hope to reach out just deep within... especially at times I'm so sad for somebody who mean so much important to me.

This is pretty great, I can feel the flow as I read it and the emotion is also present.
I enjoyed the rhyme and thought that the imagery was a large part of its depth and character. 8D

My FAV stanza was the second
"I thought we share the same things, I know we really do
In fact it’s more than nothings, it’s everything in you
You thought you’ve been good hiding, you thought I cannot see?
Oh boy you just don’t know, how much I know to be"

These lines really made the poem for me and I felt like I could relate in some way because of how well you have written it.

I love it! It flows very nicely. It's somewhat haunting. A beautiful poem doesn't always have to take hours to write, and this is proof. Good Job!
