desertification

Individuality 

is undoubtedly

the most powerful resource 

we have

it allows

infinite 

diversity 

to bloom

Beauty 

is unique

but that only

makes 

each difference

more 

special

originality should be 

cultivated, 

appreciated,

encouraged

but Fear 

of the

unknown

stunts its growth

we end up

discouraged, 

unappreciated, 

wilted..

Desertification

is not only 

an ecological problem

it is a

human problem..

I will not allow the lack of rain

the lack 

of "praise", 

of "fame"  

to turn 

my soul

into the Sahara 

And I will Never

watch 

as another's garden 

starves

I will always lend a hand

help till

their tired lands

because 

no oasis

should be 

swallowed 

by the

barren sands 

of 

conformity

What a wonderful thought. You say that we should not be afraid to be our unique selves at any cost even though conformity seems to be the name of the game. It can indeed make life feel like a desert (sums the title nicely). You even unselfishly go further and say that you will encourage & help anyone to achieve their uniqueness.
