The brick wall of writtingA Poem by Amanda J HopwoodReality escapes me Imagination fails me The story does not unfold before me The great brick wall That blocks my vision Is corrupting my mood And interfering in my dreams My peers don’t see me Strangers can’t feel me I am determined To see this through I strain my eyes On the screens strange hue The life I long to bring Is dying before first breath The world I have created Has collapsed under the strain Staring blankly I begin to ponder If the task I have undertaken Is just to demanding. © 2014 Amanda J HopwoodReviews
